HAND RANKINGS

Now that you know the basics of the game, please take some time if needed to study the Hand Ranking table(below) and also the Starting hands tables.

Royal Flush A to 10 of the same suit A K Q J 10
Straight Flush* 5 consecutive cards of the same suit 3 4 5 6 7

Full house* 3 of a kind and a pair 6 6 6K K
Flush* 5 cards of the same suit A J 64 2
Straight* 5 consecutive cards of diff suits 7 8 9 10J
Three of a kind* 3 of the same cards 7 7 7
Two pair* 2 pairs of matching cards 7 7 66
One pair* 1 pair of matching cards 7 7
If no player has any of the above the person with the highest card wins(highest first: A, K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2)
*in the event of two players having the same hand, the player with the highest value hand will win. For example, for four of a kind 5, 5, 5, 5 will beat 4, 4, 4, 4.

Qualifying Low hands
i) none of your cards may be higher than an 8
ii) your cards must be unpaired
iii) the Ace counts as the lowest ranking card
iv) Straights, Flushes etc. do not count. Due to this, the same hand could be both the high and the low hand...an 5 high Straight flush for example.
